Patina - Heavy Metal Chic.
I’m not talking head banging, spandex, 80’s big teased hair, or smeared eye make up. But I’m chatting about the metallic trend for interiors and how it beckons us with a glam edge of rock ‘n roll.
Mixed metals are having a moment. Chrome and gold, brass and copper, bronze and rose gold, brushed nickel and black. Mix and match any way you’d like with lighting, faucets and hardware for a fresh look.
Just don’t forget your walls! Case in point fab metal wall tiles for your backsplashes. Extra points if it looks timeworn and aged to perfection.
Subtle and subdued lanterns in a copper color gives a wink to a Moroccan destination.
Aged beveled bricks in a dark metal hue may make you want to Tawny Katane hair twirl on a white sports-car. Stunning.
Ahhhhh Penny Lane (is in my eyes!) I’m smitten over penny mosaics in nickel or brushed chrome.
And a cool pewter in a simple stack is a brick house. Mighty mighty!
So have you lead with this metallic trend in backsplashes? Are you an industrial fan like I am? I hope so. It can rock your residents’ world and help you stand out amongst the crowd.
Tin Roof Rusted,
Tracy
