With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s the perfect time of year to show your residents how much you care. Dropping a note under their door or handing out goodies in the leasing office can be just the thing to brighten up their day and remind them why they love living in your community! To get ideas for unique thank you gifts for residents, I turned to everyone’s favorite inspiration site – Pinterest.
Here are some of my favorite pins:
Warm Wishes: Wrap up a box of hot chocolate or tea and include a gift tag with a message like wishing you a warm and wonderful Christmas, warm wishes this Thanksgiving, or warm wishes this Holiday season. This inexpensive, useful gift will be sure to warm your residents hearts!

Personalized Soap: Buy some hand soaps from your favorite store, and remove the labels. Replace them with a new, customized label that you can print on sticky transparency paper. You could use your community logo or a fun holiday message for a personalized touch!

Ring in the New Year: These New Year’s Eve kits are a great way to help your residents ring in 2013! Pick up some noisemakers, balloons, blowers, poppers and some sparkly confetti and add them all into a bag with a note thanking residents for choosing your community and wishing them a happy new year. Optional: Add a small bottle of champagne or sparkling grape juice that they can pop at midnight!

Holiday Treats: Everyone loves a holiday treat! Get paper cd envelopes and fill them with your favorite holiday cookies. Print out a custom label with your community logo or other message on it and you've got a personalized gift for your residents that they’ll be sure to love.
