I want to thank Mindy Sharp, Baidra Murphy, and Johnny Karnofsky for replying to my post yesturday. I espically want to thank Mindy for helping me to think back to my training as a leasing agent. I can get a little excited and gung-ho and just want everything to happen imediatly. I am very interested in the marketing side of this industry but I have also only been in the industry for about two months. So the replys I got yesturday helped me to realize that I need to focus on being and OUTSTANDING leasing agent right now. Then hopefully in time they will be able to see that I can help out in other ways too.
Thanks again to everyone that replyed. It helped alot!
It's just a pet peeve of mine; but check your spelling before you finalize your posts..... I can only hope you check for these things before finalizing any work product....
Relax; I am just giving you a hard time because I can......
Oh great...you sound like my wife. I will admit that I am terrible at spelling. My wife however is a great speller. I annoy her to no end. But yes, I rely heavily on spell check...lol
It is just that I accept no less than perfect quality in terms of my personal work product, and I try to impart that type of ethic to those that work around me. Some call me anal about that, but I say; 'Oh, well, you can love it or leave it.'
I have very high standards when it comes to what I consider 'acceptable' in the work product of others, including employees and outside vendors. You do not produce acceptable work, you WILL hear about it. If it does not improve, you are OUTAHERE!!!!
I hate redoing the work of others almost as much as I hate redoing my own work; this is why I do not consider it done until it is done right the first time; especially when it is my own work.
I agree with you. I am very particular about somethings. When it comes to work and my artwork I always check and double check and check again. In my artwork (Photoshoping, and Graphic Design) I am such a perfectionist. At work I like things to be neat and organized and I want to do things the right way.
I also have an arts background (BFA Photo). I know it doesn't always seem like a natural fit to most people, but I use my artistic background every day in Real Estate - its a way of seeing potential and possibilities... the art of a property
One thing I know for sure, there is plenty of room in the industry for high-quality graphic design.
You are very welcome, Greg. I love seeing people become excited in their work! I am happy to help in whatever way I can. I think the people here in Multifamily Insiders are a particularly great group of people!
