Hey there everyone, I wanted to ask what electronic payment options your company offers tenants to pay their rent? And what are they charged for paying?

Property Boss they charge 3% for debit or credit card payment and $2.95 for bank draft

We use Zego Paylease

Aptexx $0 for ACH, $4.95 for debit card, 3% for credit card

If I can answer this from a different angle - as an apartment association staff member - two things we are seeing is
1) that there are a lot of complaints for charging a fee on top of rent to process the rent payment - plus these are the kind of fees that the Biden administration is considering “junk fees” as it pertains to real estate, and
2) as we are seeing more and more pushes for rent control, very little grace is being given for raising pricing on costs (ie. increases to trash/ water rate hikes by the municipality) so it might make sense to build the cost of that processing into your rent rate in order to be able to guarantee an increase if rent stabilization comes in.
