I'm seeking recommendations on managing the smell in the trash room. We have a main trash room with a trash dumpster and a compactor for our five-story apartment community.

We've noticed the smell becoming an issue recently. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with this?

I dealt with this issue when I was working a mid-rise with restaurants on the first floor, one of which was a sushi restaurant. As you can imagine, fish in a dumpster during a Texas summer is not great.

The two things we did that I think made the biggest impact: we made it a requirement for any waste to be double bagged, and we started using Dumpster Pro odor neutralizer. It was still a constant battle, but it was manageable.
