Are you curious?
Did you know that your mind is like a muscle? How does curiosity build leadership?
1. It makes your mind active instead of passive. Curious people always ask questions and search for answers. The mental exercise caused by curiosity makes your mind stronger and stronger.
2. It causes your mind to be observant of new ideas. When the ideas come you will recognize them. Without curiosity, the ideas may pass right in front of you and
yet you miss them because your mind is not prepared to recognize them.
3. It opens up new worlds and possibilities that were hidden behind "normal life".
4. It brings excitement and adventure into your life. The lives and careers of curious people are far from boring. They are neither dull nor routine.
How do I become curious?
1. Keep an open mind. Be open to learn, unlearn, and relearn. It is okay to change your mind.
2. Don’t take things at face value. Explore, develop an attitude of loving the journey.
Make looking at a variety of options fun.
3. Learn to ask questions and ask questions relentlessly. Can you tell me about...? Can you explain that? How does your team do this? Curious people love asking what, why, when, who, where, and how?
4. Don’t label something as that didn't work, we tried that, or boring. Change your attitude. See things as opportunities and exciting. So let's be curious.
