For the past 8 months, I have been traveling about 600 miles weekly leading an on-site team to make sure this BEAUTIFUL community reached budgeted occupancy/pre-lease
(Which it did with about a month to spare hehe)
While the simple answer to this question is:
Caffeine and delusion ππ
I have learned a much more easier way to approach a beast of a project like the one I just wrapped up today and HAVE to share with everyoneβ¦
Use your resources!
You are NOT alone in ensuring Owner's are pleased and our goals are met.
You are NOT alone when the Post Office makes life a bit tricky.
You are NOT alone when we somehow need to secure 20 leases in 1 week, during a slow week, to stay on track with our occupancy goal.
You are also NOT alone when you're thrown to manage a HUGE asset with no experience on reporting preferences, no family or friends, hours away from the norm.
My papa always said, "The hardest part of ANYTHING is the part you don't know".
The sooner we stop adding everything to our plate and we begin resourcing OUT, the sooner we can shine in doing the things we do best.
You are not alone so don't try to do it yourself.
You literally can't.
What an honor to have lovely people who understand your weaknesses better than you!!
This is the perfect time to brush up on these skills and learn.
Staying consistent, ambitious, and outsourcing, I can gladly say that I helped get occupancy to 80% or more, during these last few months.
Don't harbor too much on any negativity/downfalls that may present themselves while you strive to complete the task.
'Tis is life!
Create your own reasons to wake up and stay so motivated that no one else can even try to affect your vision.
Stay grateful.
When you tell yourself things are easy, life responds back to that vibration and carves a path personalized just for you.
Remember everyone, the hardest part of anything is the part you don't know. How exciting to know that at least one person in this world knows the answer to something. Network, outsource, and be willing to learn.
It's incredible where you'll find yourself once the smoke settles. Make sure to follow/connect with me to stay your best within the multi-family onsite industry. Let's win together!!
