Working at a lease up with strict leasing goals?
Manning a stabilized community and the NTV's are stacking up with vacant units growing more and more?
Keep reading.. this may be just for you!
Traveling every week to different on-site teams, I notice a pretty consistent trend that can be found in any rental housing market in the country.
It's a fact, we have slow seasons…
It's a fact, we cannot control the weather to entice walk-in traffic…
It's also fact, it is very illegal to force someone to sign a legal binding lease agreement…
However there is one thing that many people forget about that will always allow leases to funnel in anywhere I visit.
Thought about it yet?
After strategically identifying ways to enhance conversions in tough markets, and actively listening to the concerns from my on-site teammates, there is one main thing that always garners leases..
Supporting the people you expect to get the job done
No, I don't mean checking in the day before the goal needs to be hit.
Or I don't mean a quick "You did it!"
As leaders, what are we proactively doing to make sure our team members know we will go to bat WITH them?
Nothing is better than sitting in a chair with my leasers and making the office a call-center right along with them.
If we're leading them to hit a goal, lead by example.
The trust, excitement, and willingness to participate this method creates for team members transcends all fluctuating markets in the country.
Talk the talk and walk the walk
Working onsite is full of many stressors and having a leader that adds to that without providing any type of support can be tough.
Trust me, I've been there!
