Last month, Google launched its fourth spam-fighting Penguin update. Penguin 2.0, as it’s known, contains new technology that Google claims should better stop spam from coming up in search results.
So, what does this mean? Webmasters and SEOs can expect significant changes to search results – it’s predicted that 2.3% of English queries will be noticeably impacted by this update.
Google went on to say that “the scope of Penguin varies by language, e.g. languages with more webspam will see more impact.”
How can you ensure that your website will not be negatively impacted by Penguin’s spam-fighting technology? Simple – build a great site that users love that you keep updated with valuable, relevant content.
