Benny clears the matter up really quickly, if he smells a bed bug egg, casing, or bed bug, he will sit and not move until told to do so. He is called single source because all he does is bed bugs, would be no good for sniffing out marijuana for example. Good news today! Benny says no bed bugs!
Jamie Phillips Benny appears to be the goodest of all the boys.

Allie Gartside The dog is very cute but I’m sorry having dealt with bed bugs, this method is unreliable. Bed bugs retreat after a treatment, especially with heat treatments. If the bugs retreated deep within the walls, the dogs can’t detect them and the bugs can be back within 24hrs.
When tested by researchers the dogs had something like a 95% accuracy - but only when the tests were controlled. However the dogs scored lower when they had to seek out bed bugs that were naturally occurring in hotels/apartments. Not to mention, it also depends on the handler and the dog. Results vary too depending on the specific dog and depending on said dog on any given day.
Obviously, humans have a zero percent accuracy in sniffing them out but this method is not foolproof. I would not rely on it. I think they would be of better use to use as prevention and after move outs.
Bed bug treatments should be administered to the entire building, not just an individual unit. Similar to roaches, you have to have aggressive...
