I am pricing out portals that integrade with Yardi. I have a price from Property Solutions as well as Yardi. Yardi is of course more cost effective. Any comments pros or cons regarding either of these services? Why doesn't everyone that uses Yardi use the Yardi portal VS propety solutions?
Property Solutions is innovative and takes recommendations into consideration. We work with MRI and nothing integrates well with MRI. We are looking to switch to Yardi so we have looked into Yardi portal a little. More than likely we will stick with PS. They have a few bells and whistles such as the sitetablet app for the ipad that we like and Yardi just isn't there yet. PS also has a majority of clients that are Yardi based so I have heard that it integrates well.
That being said it would be nice to work with one company to avoid running around trying to narrow down who is responsibile to fix certain situations. There is something to be said for simplicity. I would take into consideration how you feel about the Yardi support staff and if you feel like you would be taken care of if you put all of your eggs in one basket.
In my experience Yardi has a bit further to go to reach the technology that PS is building.
Before you make a decision, you should take a look/demo at a platform called BuildingLink. It is first rate, used by many management companies that use Yardi, and has a support team that is incredible. It is not cheap, but the results are worth it. The sales team there would certainly put you in touch with many managers that use it.
I see that a lot of you are comparing Yardi and Property Solutions. Are any of you considering the SEO leader, G5?
www.g5platform.com
It integrates with Yardi, MRI, Onesite and is the only solution that has real, ongoing SEO.
Due to the fact, our properties still use Yardi for our property management software, I would like to remain anonymous to keep our relationship.
However, we switched to Property Solutions about 8 months ago from Yardi Portal. It was a move we researched thoroughly and found that Property Solutions simply had better products. They are more willing to listen, more willing to consult, and have been one of our single best partners. We have had much better results, more functionality, and quicker development with Property Solutions.
We originally had Yardi property management in place and added the Yardi portal product to keep everything under one umbrella. After about a year, we made the switch to Property Solution’s portal. Yardi’s property management software is solid and we’ll always see value in this core but for our front-line product, Property Solutions had more to offer prospects and residents.
Property Solutions integrates really well with the Yardi PM system. The ProspectPortal product offers stability and continuing enhancement each month. Our cost includes unlimited training for our property teams and online support for properties and residents which our team loves. Property Solution’s portal is really a comprehensive solution for the online application/leasing environment. Over the past year, we’ve been really pleased with the service level, the product functionality and the new offerings.
I would also checkout

. They're up and coming and build everything for the mobile phone first. Best prices i've seen and they'll customize too.
Our company uses Yardi Genesis and we got on board with PS portals about 2 years ago- it's been a fantastic service at a great price, and keeps getting better and better. The integration is rock solid- we haven't had any major problems.
Just saw this and we are investigating as well. Did you decide on Yardi? We use them and have their pricing but would be interested in your decision as well as getting an idea of what Property Solutions was looking to charge for comparable solution. Thx.
what is each charging you? I am working with my Regional Manager to decide which company we should look at, but i'm trying to get an idea for pricing. Thanks.
I am fairly new property manager and I was interested in purchasing a maintenance software for my properties. Do you have any recommendations on which software performs better? Is more cost-efficient? I apologize for the randomness of this inquiry but I honestly didn't find any other outlets that offered the information.
Sincerely,
James
