Certain states require the maintenance staff to be a resident on-site or reside nearby. Can anyone tell me if this is true for the state of Virginia?

"(e) The person who performs janitorial services for a multiple dwelling of nine or more dwelling units
(other than where janitorial services are performed on a 24-hour a day basis under (c) above) shall reside
in or within a distance of one block ( www.state.nj.us/dca/divisions/codes/codr...f_regs/njac_5_10.pdf )"

currently they are not required to live on site.....as a property manager i choose to live on site to keep crime and disturbances down and my husband is my maintenance man so he does also but we have a rule on our time off it is on an emergency only basis. They are welcome to call in any maintenance request or issue but if it is not an emergency it is not handled until the next business day. This is because the only staff is my husband and I and there is no way budget or personal wise we can work 24/7.
