DOE (Department Of Energy) Releases update ruling and allows and or approves the continued sale and production of R407C replacement A/C condensing units for R22 systems.The use of R410A systems in applications where the copper line set cannot be replaced leads to declined performance, cool and premature failures. The DOE ruling allows for the continued use of R407C units which are retro-fit units that require no indoor unit replacement or modification.
