Specifically, how does polyester hold up to staining and wear vs. nylon (Stainmaster).
Prefer professional/personal testimonials, not vendor sales feedback. considering Bob Shaw's polyester product in our residential units- the units receive lots of wear.
Nylon is more crush resistant but stains more easily from acid-based agents. Polyester is more stain resistant but crushes more easily. For crushing, a 35 oz. face weight polyester is about the same as a 26-28 oz. nylon. Polyesters are more fade resistant and less likely to have a problem with static.
