I hate it, I have it in my back yard. If you are in a hot state, don't do it. It gets so hot from the sun that neither you nor your pet can walk barefoot on it. It only helps with the urine if you hose it down regularly, otherwise, it sits in and under the layers of rubber that are beneath the "grass". If you do this, be sure the company you choose grades the land properly, away from the buildings. I have no idea how well this stuff works in milder climates, but in the Phoenix Metro area, it's horrible. Not to mention, it holds the heat and all surrounding areas of the "grass" are even hotter because the plastic or whatever it's made from, holds the heat all day.
