Has anyone made good use of LinkedIn for an apartment community? I'm looking for good examples.

It seems the company pages are best suited for owners or management companies and the people pages are for - people.

Hi Jackie! We set up a LinkedIn for our community. It's still a work in progress, but you can see it here . We created it for maximum exposure. So far, we're part of 2 groups and have our twitter feed on our profile. We're going to work on getting more connections and some recommendations next.

LinkedIn's recommendation feature could be huge for apartment communities! Excerpts from them could be used in other marketing. As with any social media, you must be an active member of the community to get anything out of it. Join groups, make connections and ask for recommendations. Chances are, your management company has several employees with LinkedIn profiles so have them recommend your community.

Here is one good example I found for Belgrade Apartments . I'm not a paid member so I can't see all the details of this, but 429 connections seems successful to me.

Hope that helps!
