What methods are you using to train your staff to think outside of their current job position and helping them to achieve other job titles as their career progresses?

We will soon be using Training Factor for our residence managers. ;)

Thanks Trevor. I appreciate that. Are you using or have you seen specific methods of training that help your staff progress and look to move up the corporate ladder?

The company I work for uses Grace Hill for training. I would like to get ARM/CAM designations but it's so expensive I can't afford it on my small salary. Since I would really like to get a degree in business management, and I have only a high school education, I'm not sure where to start.

@Rose-- I will check into that for you and see what I can find out. I am really not sure on that point, but if I come across anything I will let you know.

@ Rose: Have you looked into getting a Federal or State grant to finance your training?

Thanks Jonathan!

@Johhny, I haven't the first idea where to begin looking for grants and such...Maybe this fall I'll go to the local community college Orientation and see what I can find out.

@Rose:

You could click on one of those pop up ads that talk about grants or $$ for school......

Does your employer offer tuition reimbursement?

I sure wish they had tuition reimbursement where I work. Unfortunately they don't. I worded in manufacturing for 10 years and they offered it but I never took advantage of it and I'm kicking myself for it!
