CEO sounds like you're more involved with the company where owner sounds more hands off. Maybe that's becasue I've been in multi-family for so long and owners are usually unknown and unreachable.
I've also seen the President/CEO title presented in some situations. Some companies may also lean towards upscaled titles for the supporting staff to impress clients when they make contact.
Are titles that important? It's amazing to me how "hung up" some people are with titles. I've had all titles including CEO and Owner, but at the end of the day does the title make the person or does the person make the title? Truthfully, my best title is Mom.
Neither is a good answer!! I remember many years ago My title was VP Banking Executive. At the time "Banker" was consider the number one, most trustworthy name within the financial industry. Today, using the title "Banker" Well-need I say more? I think CEO, unless you knew the company well, would have the same emotional response. Like wise for the tile-Owner.
I prefer the title General Partner, or sometimes Proprietor. Those that need to know understand what it means and those that don't know exactly what it means are impressed.
