I did one showing yesterday. And I got an application this morning for the unit. I did not shake hands, but I did offer them hand sanitizer that I always carry in my pocket regardless. I am asking prospects and residents beforehand if they are experiencing any illness. But I will probably try to do things online as much as I can..maybe..????
Yes. No walk-in's. Only virtual starting tomorrow afternoon, we are rolling out our entire 30-day plan for the company tomorrow mid-day. Lots of moving parts.
Betsy Bradford Smith Look into Rently... even without the virus mess, it’s a great tool for our renters who have busy schedules to be able to tour 24/7.
Not yet, but we have ordered boxes from Rently to have the ability to do self-guided tours that should arrive this coming week. It’s a day by day thing but haven’t stopped them yet.
I think we should continue to work via phones and e-mails, And virtual touring. I think offices should be closed for interaction. What a great time to get projects that have been put on the back burner, DONE!!
A mid rise property near DT ATL has closed their offices—multiple cases of Covid 19 have been confirmed at their property (not sure if its staff or residents). SOCIAL DISTANCING is the only way to stop the spread and I encourage EVERYONE to advocate for that.
I worry, I work at a low income property with a huge homeless population walking by, in breezeways. My company has not given any immediate direction I will do what I think is warranted.

In person tours yes, we are directing everyone to our website who calls. Any walk ins, we complete a guest card with all the necessary info then send quotes and virtual tours so they can apply online.
Maintenance is to complete emergency requests only and work in make readies.
We haven’t been informed of any official changes only to extra-clean our common areas, there are some conversations about restricting tours and only do emergency work orders but nothing has been communicated officially from our corporate office in Pennsylvania, and we are located in Brownsburg IN
We placed a sign on the front door asking everyone to call of email if it is a request that can be handled in that manner. We are keeping all other doors locked and trying to limit the amount of people coming through.
We are still doing tours and open for business. We are just extra cleaning the amenities daily. we stop taking packages! And stop any resident events! We do have a sign on the door if you are sick do not enter the office. Communicate with emails or via phone! But maintenance still completing work orders unless the resident is sick..

My company has only instructed to do extra cleaning in common areas. We are still doing all tours and work orders we just have to ask about sickness in the home before entering.
We have not as of yet, but are practicing 'social distancing' 100%. Stopped handshaking over a week ago, have plenty of sanitizer handy (HA) and keep appropriate distance from tours. It may be coming to that soon, though.
Scheduled Showings increased by nearly 20% week-over-week (looked at this data as of an hour ago). People still are going to move. They may need to take on roommates, etc. to plan for hardship. There are ways to allow tours and keep your teams safe.
Yes. Staff is working, no one can come in the office. We come out to give keys and take money. All tours stopped if they can maintain 95%. Otherwise we meet at the model, unlock and let them do self guided.
Have you given thought to how you will sanitize key/units between showings? I am ready to launch self guided tours but that's the hang up for me right now.
