Yes. Only lounges out that are placed 10 feet apart. We use a backpacker sprayer to disinfect in the morning. Only open during business hours at this time and no guests. Sign up that says use at your own risk. That’s pretty much it.

Brenda Andrews Sherrill curious, what if they move the lounges closer to each other, have a large group etc. Are you expected to go and demand they practice social distancing?
Ruby Yvette no. I’m not policing, nor is my team. Maybe if someone comes inside to say someone is refusing to social distance I may go out or if I see a group larger than 10, but I can only do so much. If they want to sit 2 feet from each other, that’s on them. At end of day, we will line furniture back up and disinfect. We are not babysitting them.

Ruby, we did same as you at our florida properties and let residents know if they don’t adhere we’d have no choice but to close them. We do have our staff keep an eye on it during our work day and do address issues if not adhering to guidelines. Also post signs of our guidelines at pool.
Tammy Flynn we use Ecolution. It is an approved Covid disinfectant. We purchase from State Chemicals. It is no rinse and dries in 10 minutes. We also spray all vacant units before work is to begin as well as pool baths.

Opened today. 1) Removed some of the pool furniture to reduce available seating. 2) Reduced the pool hours to the same as office hours. 3) Posted reduced maximum occupancy signs. 4) No guests. 5) Posted covid signs stating that use of the pool is at resident's own risk. 6) Sent out letters to residents with new pool policies.
Sylvia Salas We are allowed 50% capacity as of today; however, we are erring on the side of caution and have reduced one pool area to 10 people and the other pool enclosure to 12 people.
Chrissy McCulloch One pool is right next to the office. Easy to monitor. The other pool is at the back of the property. Maintenance will check it throughout the day. Since the pools close when the office closes, the guard and patrol service will keep the pool areas clear after hours. We are also having an extra patrol officer on duty for Memorial Day since the office is closed and Memorial Day is such a big pool day.
Drained the water waist deep. This way it only touches 50% of the body of most patrons, efficiently reducing transmission rates.
Everyone needs to wear a mask and a snorkel. That way everyone breathes out towards the sky which drastically reduces the spit spray radius, it also protects the eyes and nose. I also offer everyone a set of 6 ear plugs to safely plug up all body orfices as per unofficial Pritzker’s Illinois covid-19 the safety guidelines. Remember, swim at your own risk and don’t drown in Covid-19.
We are opening in TX on Wed at 25% capacity of normal bather total. Removed seating and spaced remaining pieces 6 ft apart, using tape to mark the areas they need to remain. We are keeping the grills closed but allowing people to enjoy the pool as long as they observe the rules. No moving furniture, social distance unless you are part of the same family, no guests or visitors - residents only, place a towel on any seating you use. We are also providing sanitizer for people to utilize.
Kelly Martin - yes- as mentioned in the article they are taking reservations, but my understanding is that the SNVHD has not yet approved pools to be opened yet, nor has the Governor given the green light yet. We shall see! Not trying to be controversial- I’m a local, too- and hope they will get people back to work as soon as possible- but I haven’t seen anything confirmed yet.

Reservation only. We use active building and use the event option. We do 2 hour blocks and then close for 30 minutes in between sessions. For our pool only 20 people and we are only open during office hours. We check throughout the day to do a headcount and Friday thru Sunday we do have a pool attendant and they have the reservation list to check them off. We do the same for all amenities. Fitness, club and conference rooms. It does help that this is a high rise so a little easier to manage. Our garden deals we are only opening one pool which is behind the office so we can manage better. We do recommend to our clients to have pool attendants. Especially with a holiday weekend coming up.

We are offering temp positions we call Amenity Pros. The pros monitor your guidelines, check tenants in, and keep the areas clean. To monitor the area of any amenity is going to be a full-time job that may only last a couple months. We are nationwide if anyone is interested. TheLibertyGroup.com Sorry for the plug. I just think its a great idea

Hi All - I know these responses are now more than 2 weeks old. Can anyone report if residents are being responsible with the pool rules and if they are working? Are your site staff able to manage or have you need to hire a temp or similar to help manage?
