Who's company has paid a COVID-19 Bonus for working during the pandemic? Curious to see how many companies are compensating for all the hard work and dedication.
Ours did, 1k to all onsite team members, which I thought was extremely generous considering the circumstances. We were also given a free “wellness day” to be taken in July, anytime.
yes, it wasn't a huge amount but it was just nice to be recognized for going above and beyond during this uncertain time plus extra paid time off...yay!!
No, but to be honest - they also didnt reduce our hours or cut corners on pay or costs to keep us as safe as we can be during this, and they have sent lunch and little thank you’s along the way along with a TON of support for whatever we needed within reason. So I’m pretty grateful for that.
At RedPeak, we gave monthly bonuses during the Stay at Home Order and committed to not laying anyone off or cutting hours. The bonuses were higher for service team members and housekeepers given the nature of the work and their interactions and slightly less for office/leasing, but we did increase leasing commissions. We have some additional perks planned for the coming months. Taking care of our team is priority #1. If we take care of them, they will take care of our residents.
So far we received 2 free pto days & our company sent us a gift card to buy our team lunch. Honestly Just being able to keep myself & team working is enough of a bonus for me!
Owners just paid out $500 to each employee. We gave $50 Door Dash gift cards early on and a Door Dash lunch. Also gave a box ofLammes candies to each. Ours is a very small local company. Our people have been awesome through all this craziness.
Unfortunately we haven’t even gotten words of encouragement or a thank you. I came out of my own pocket buy lunches for my staff. That’s really why I was curious what other companies were doing. We are 100% leased and zero delinquency smh.
It is kind of sad but I still need to lead my team and the community and face everyday with a good attitude. I wont sacrifice my integrity for a bonus lol. I will however keep this time in mind should other opportunities come along. ????
We have paid out two bonuses to our employees so far. In addition we have provided staff lunches and staff breakfast. All our employees remain on payroll at full capacity. We appreciate them and all of their hard work. Your team is everything!
I recieved a very generous bonus. I work for one owner of multiple properties and he makes me feel appreciated always. It's a pleasure to work for him the the past 25 years.
I work for a company that pays criminally low wages. They're certainly not going to pay us better as "essential workers" on the front lines while the corporate team gets to work from the comfort of their own homes.
Bonuses, our annual increases kicked in, staff lunches, and tons of support provided. We also do a biweekly kind of “meet at the water cooler” — an online trivia game where we can win gift cards. Truly, the support from upper management has been the most valuable!
Mine pays me a salary for my hard work and dedication, my responsibilities as a PM haven't changed. I'm valued every day and don't need an additional bonus for doing my job to prove that.
We did to all 200 employees who worked during March and April. For those that did which was everyone who was comfortable working - and continued employment - everyone full time got a total of $1000 paid out as $250 in June and $250 in July and then it will be matched as a December bonus of $500. Rewards hard work during Covid ( and every day ) and then rewards it again over the holidays.
These kinds of moves stick with folks when they consider leaving to another job or rather increasing their loyalty to where they are. We sent our tenants food treats along with the message that we are thinking of them. This all builds good will!!!
Hahaha, not mine. I am a student housing property manager turning 170 units in the pandemic and scrambling to even find gloves and masks for me and staff let alone find vendors willing to do the work in the time frame allotted during this pandemic. I am in SW Michigan and we are getting hit hard.
I hate hearing that, Trish! That is super discouraging. My company hasn't done a "bonus" but a lot of expenses fall into a COVID19 expense which helps our bottom line and our quarterly bonus. My employees are still working so that I am grateful for.
Our company allowed all on-site staff to leave at 1pm every Friday since March but paying us until our usual 5pm closing time, and is continuing to do so until end of Summer.
Monarch Investment not only paid all on site teams a COVID bonus but if an employee gets COVID they get paid while out that is not counted against their paid time off. Monarch was one of the first to put together a COVID task force to help keep people safer! Truly a great company to work for.
Community Realty Management (CRM) paid a bonus to all site team members as we truly appreciate our team members and all that they are doing for our residents and the company during this unprecedented time.
StoneCreek Communities has! We have kept all personnel actively working at all 28 communities in 5 states!
We modified their duties to facilitate the required and increased disinfecting and sanitizing processes to ensure their paychecks remain consistent and did not reduce hours for our teams, nor did we lay any personnel off. We've also altered site staff schedules to enable them to operate the communities while tending to the various needs at home. In addition, our team members who supported us through the first few months of this pandemic and remained wholly committed to tend to the needs of our communities, residents and Company, EACH received bonuses varying from $750-$2k to help cover their additional costs associated with COVID, including childcare needs, partner job losses, etc. I know not every company is able to do this for their teams, but we have been very humbled to support our personnel in this way.

We used our PPP loan funds to boost salaries by $3.00/hr as long as those funds last. Our rent collections turned out to drop only marginally, so we could afford to do so -- and we feel that our employees deserve the bonus for being willing to expose themselves to risk by going into people's apartments.
Not mack-Cali, In fact all office personal was directed to stay and work from home, when all maintenance personal including maintenance managers were told to report to work at their buildings, we have worked EVERY day since this pandemic started and haven't received a single dime. We put our lives ar risk everyday for the sake of the building and resident and got nothing, not even a thank you from CEO Mike Demarco, who I happy to say has been recently voted out by the new board of directer..Thank God...
