With the onset and manufacturing of electric cars beginning to be more and more popular in our society, how are we going to handle when a prospect asks...Do you have a 220 outlet I can charge my car on? And How are we going to deal with the expense it will take to fill a car twice a week?
I had this opportunity present itself to me this past month and I am curious how others are handling it?
Once suggestion is to add an outlet and let the resident set up his own account with the electric company. The cost to add a 220 outlet is around $300. At least here anyway. Also, I'm sure there is a permit involved and measures to make sure it is safe and not accessable to just anyone.
This prospect said it costs approximately $16 per week to charge is car. This translates to $832 per year. Add to that the set up costs and permits...We're looking at a substantial new expense.
He said some management companies have made special provisions for this situation.
Does anyone have any experience in this respect? If so...I would be interested in what is trending on this topic.
