I am looking for quality educational seminars, conferences etc that focus on marketing in the multi-family market.
I am based in Austin Texas, but would be willing to travel almost anywhere in the state for the right learning opportunity.
I am the marketing director for Roscoe Properties in Austin, we are a small, locally owned, management company. We have just launched a new website and I have been actively building our brand online and locally...I would love to get more information, ideas and guidance.
I would love to know if y'all have any recomendations for me.
Have you signed up for Multifamily Pro's Brainstorming event in Houston this November? It's a great event for someone looking for new marketing ideas. Several of us MFI folks will be there, so bonus, you'll get to meet us in person too!
Have you been to a brainstorming? Can you let me know a bit about it and the company that puts it on? I think it would be a neat opportunity, but I and my boss want to make certain it will be worth the $550 investment.
I've not been before, but have talked with several people who have gone in the past and it's absolutely worth the investment. You'll come out with more ideas than you'd get at a usual conference, and it will be a really fun time.
Carrie- By going to Brainstorming in Houston you'll have the opportunity to meet all the best industry consultants, listen to them speak, and come up with plenty of ideas. While I have not gone in the past, I am going so I can participate on a discussion panel this year. It is one of the most popular education conferences of the year from what I've seen, and it happens to be in your state. I believe it's definitely worth it.
I've gone to Brainstorming each of the last few years and it has been one of my favorite conferences! I really enjoy the round table format for discussions, the education sessions, and the enthusiasm and spirit that all of the participants bring. I'd definitely recommend attending and I think you'll find it well worth the time and money invested. I'd be happy to discuss it further if you'd like... Just let me know.
Thanks for all of the information! Brainstorming conference will more than likely be on my schedule this November....y'alls feedback definitely helped sway the opinions of my owner.
Any other quality/ useful education opportunities for those of us new to the Multi-Family marketing world?
1 - If the apartment all stars come to speak within a two hour drive of where you live, drive there and see them. They're awesome.
2- Set your money aside for NAA in New Orleans next year. And if you've got student properties you should seriously consider the NAA Student Housing Conference.
3- Try to get involved in your local apt association more. Sit on a committee and try to drive the quality of training/speaking events up. Nothing changes, and no one hands you opportunities if you don't try to create them yourself!
Dollars are tight with everyone this year, but an investment in education and training is NEVER a bad investment. Even if the conference is terrible, all it takes is one good idea to bring you 60 leases.
I am new to the Apartment Real Estate Worls and I am looking for ways to expand my knowledge. My office is based in Harrisburg, PA, but I am willing to travel to learn.
Can anyone direct me to classes, conferences, magizines or associations?
