I have Three cats, when I moved in I informed the Manager I had two cats they are bonded to each other it was counted as one cat because of it I found a newborn that is now 9 months old he is fixed and had his rabies shot but today I come home from the doctor and find all these notices taped to my door. Can't keep cats have to get rid of my fish tank. I was told as long as I keep renters insurance I can keep my fish tank. None of the other Managers had a problem with my pets they are fixed and litter box trained. they do not go outside. This Manager makes up new rules as she goes along, no dogs over 30lbs yet there are pitbull-size dogs here. I have PTSD and this stresses me out because my pets are keeping me from going and beating the heck out of someone. This Manager should be focusing on the issue at hand such as fixing leaky doors and cracking ceilings and windows that only open so far. I have a letter from my doctors which the manager has on file as well as a copy of renters insurance
Let's take one thing at a time. 1. Sorry, but two cats can't count as one, no matter how bonded. 2. The third cat and the first two need to be approved
by management. 3. Regarding PTSD, see/contact a current health services provider who agrees that you need an emotional support animal and is willing to provide documentation. I recommend this as I don't know how old the 'letter' is that is in the manager's files.
Each animal has to serve a purpose for your disability. 4. A fish can be considered an emotional support animal for an emotional disability. Some properties have reasonable limits on the gallon size of the aquarium. There are many opinions regarding your situation. For clarity, you might reach out to your local housing authority.
