As you may have heard, we’re pulling together a collection of everyone’s favorite multifamily memories and stories to include in a large-scale mural at NAA, called the Memory Wall.
Regardless of your role in the industry or whether or not you’ll be attending NAA, please share your memory in a comment below or
on the blog
, and I’ll make sure it’s included in the mural. Stories of all nature and topic are welcome - it could be as straightforward as when you sold your first lease, to more haired situations like criminal investigations or
paranormal activity
.
For an added incentive... we’ve committed to donate $1 to charity, for every memory shared. If you’re coming to NAA, you can check out the mural at booth #787, but we’ll also be posting pics and videos in the coming weeks on Facebook.
Many years ago and I do not even know if the dog is still alive. There was a dog that was a stray and he liked this one property and was considered a pest. Animal control was called numerous times and he could never be caught.
One day a lady had her child on the children's play area and as they were walking over to the sand box the dog came shooting by both of them and killed a copperhead snake they were only a couple of steps from, which for sure may have bitten one of the two of them.
This dog became a proud family member on that date for saving those two from getting bit by a poisonous snake. I am sure there is a moral to this story somewhere.
To my knowledge he was one of those Heinz 57 kind of dogs. I do not think the community had a name for the dog, but I know the family which he saved and they in turn took him in had a name for him and I cannot tell you what that was.
You see they moved as the property did not allow pets. So, I guess they moved for his sake which I think is really something. Loss maybe to the property, but a home and love for the dog.
The NAA Memory Wall was a huge success! We had over 100 entries from attendees, and were able to contribute over 2,400 meals to support hunger relief in Downtown Boston. Check out the pictures on Facebook and see the outrageous stories that were shared:

We'll also be sharing the time lapse footage in the next few days, so you can watch the 2-day project unfold in under 2 minutes Many thanks to the Insiders for helping support the Memory Wall project!
