hello I wanted to get some input regarding california
laws re: change of terms notices. the late fee has recently been changed and for my tenants who are month to month, am I required to notify them of the change? management had me make copies of our lease and I a dressed them all and handed them out to each resident. I was informed to tell them that it was just a copy of their lease for their records.it does state the new late fee in the lease . yet I didn't have them sign a copy for me. everyone is approaching me about the more expensive fee. they say they are entitled to a 30 day notice ? I'm just doing what my boss tells me to do ?who's right ?
