I read it and thought it was good, definitely shines a light on a serious problem in our society. It is making some folks in our industry upset, because it is causing some courts to put pressure on landlords( of course the landlords already following the rules) because of the issues being brought to light.
I did too- as a Manager and corporate employee, and one that has worked in low income for 18 years, I can see both sides. I have seen some companies and some private landlords praying on the downtrodden, and can see other decent landlords who follow the rules and provide safe and well kept housing being bashed for lawful and reasonable eviction. It definitely shines a light and makes people take notice and investigate legitimate problems in the housing market
Well written. It is sad, but gives a good perspective of the struggle that too many face to find and maintain housing. Certainly not light reading, but glad to have read it.

I’ve read it. I think it leaves certain aspects of the job out, but I was surprised and impressed with the authors attempt to view both sides of the issue. I’ve encouraged my management team to read it too. I want them to remember the human side to what we all do.
It was really well written. I did find myself feeling for both sides, but totally see how a downward cycle can start for people they simply can't get out of, and there are many who will take advantage of them and their situation. It's worth the read.
