Hi y’all,

Is anyone else facing unscrupulous vendors who fraudulently invoice for work not done at all or price gouge during storms like Harvey?

I am certain we are not alone in this fight. What success have you had with fighting this?

Thank you!

I have had this happen. Best way to combat it is not to pay till you have verified the job is done.

Check with your state (you may be able to make a complaint with the Attorney General). Example: Florida has laws against price gouging after a hurricane:

Good Suggestion Craig!

It’s also a good idea to use Supplier Member’s whom are members of the NAA National Supplier Council (NSC) and/or your Local and State Apartment Association’s so you know they are a vested member in our industry.

I'll be in Houston on Monday replacing some of those unscrupulous contractors with our company.
