I am researching the possible addition of a Splash Pad in my community located in Michigan. Although seasonal, I believe that it will be a very welcomed and popular amenity. Does anyone already have one or have recently added a Splash Pad? What challenges did you have...permits, approval, installation and so on? Also, the names of any local Pool / Splash Pad contractors would be great! Thank you.
I have vendors that I work with here in Houston and I frequently recommend that some add splash pads. Very low insurance required, they usually have conservation start/stop features, properties who have them usually maintain high occupancies. It's a good added value to your property and it usually pays for itself in about 2 years
I have a pool and baby pool in excess of 50 years old. We are in the early stages of renovations. We would like to take out the baby pool and put a splash pad in its place.
I am in the process of getting design drawing done. There are 2 types of splash pads. Fresh water or filtered water. Fresh water, the water goes down the drain. But all of the features are are motion activated. There are a lot less headaches with the fresh water pad.
