I think Amazon has really only caught on due to the brand recognition of Amazon. But I think Luxer overall may be a superior product, especially if you are running on Entrata since it integrates with it.
We have Luxer and have very few integration issues. We looked into Amazon but haven't heard back. While Luxer can be iffy on customer service, at least I know they'll answer. I would worry that with Amazon it would be more customer service issues and wouldn't stop the Amazon Delivery problems we have.

this is a common narrative I have heard with Amazon is that it’s super hard to get in contact with them to get pricing, so I can’t imagine what the customer service must be like when you have actual issues!
that’s a negative! I have Amazon Hub and the response time is always next day. They even come out on Sundays. Amazon has no monthly costs and no service costs. Unless it is vandalized.
Marcel Thomas you’ve guessed it. Their customer service for package issues is just as bad. About five times we had to open&close each locker one by one to find a missing package, going through 30 lockers looking for the one that’s missing.... Very inefficient.
We like Luxer, but we have pretty consistent issues with the IPad needing to be re-booted because it doesn’t automatically sync our new residents properly. We have Yardi and it’s supposed to sync daily automatically, but not always the case if there are problems with the iPad. Customer service is responsive, but they want us to go through tons of diagnostic steps instead of sending someone out. Hopefully in the future they’ll send out actual technicians because it can be a major time drain to diagnose these issues ourselves.
We are ordering the Amazon Hub for our newest community and curious to see if it’s better or worse. Even with the issues with the iPad, I still think the Luxer lockers are an incredible amenity at our community. Would like to see refrigerated options as our residents get tons of meal kits delivered, have had to remove rotten food on more than 1 occasion! Yuck!
Luxor One and Luxor are two different products.
Personally I think Amazon is great for the price point; it’s significantly less costly than Luxor lockers. I’ve used both and have not experienced any issues.
Luxer does integrate with Yardi. I have two sites with the lockers and personally worked with the luxer team to set up an integration. Once the sites move residents in or out of yardi, this information gets pushed and updated in the system automatically.
Amazon was awful with setup!! No communication what so ever just customer service is terrible. BUT now that it has been up for 2 weeks I will say it has been great. Just if you go amazon make sure you complain enough and someone will finally give you support
We just installed both at 2 of our new sites. Not one problem with Luxor, many problems with Package Concierge. PC had problems interfacing with OneSite. Luxor no problems.
We've had the Amazon Hub for a year and three of our sister communities have Luxer. I have to say that I like Amazon way better. All are only as good as your delivery people and them consistently using the system. But for security, I'm an Amazon fan.
We installed Amazon and have had NO issues at all even our carriers have caught on fairly quickly! Our residents have reported their satisfaction as well. The install was easy, set up was a breeze and resident & carrier training has been relatively simple. As a team we have made it our mission to make the transition simple and have worked to ensure that every resident has any training they need on using the locker system a priority.
I cant speak for Luxer as I have not personally used it, what I can say is that Amazon was very cost effective and does not carry the additional fees that some of the other companies have. For us when evaluating our choices Amazon was the clear winner.
I feel like Luxer is better because ppl don’t realize that the carriers are the problem not the locker system. Legit I’ve had so many misplaced packages and investigations that always show the carrier putting it somewhere other than where they said. And it’s always the Amazon carriers that misplace my packages or leave it outside the locker w out scanning it in. If you really look at the facts I can call Luxer and get an answer in 5 seconds Amazon answers the next day.
