What’s the craziest reason a resident has given you for why they have to break their lease? Mine just happened today. My resident is moving to Cali and marrying Mark Wahlberg. He will be in to pay her term fees. I can’t wait LOL
I had a deputy state attorney of (not my state) call and throw her weight around and make veiled threats of complaints with our state attorney, saying she wouldn't have let her kid sign this lease. He was well into his 20s. Sorry lady, he can pay the re-let and rerental fee like everybody else.
He was stabbed and robbed at the dumpster of his rent money when he scratched himself with a knife and made up the story and filed a fake police report.
Not a lease break, but I had a resident who wanted a new stackable washer/dryer. Theirs worked fine, was just an older model. Fast forward a month later and their apartment was broken into...only one thing was stolen...guess what it was? Filed a police report and everything! Watch out for those washer/dryer robbers people! Suspect has super clean clothes and smells like downy
One was going to marry a registered sex offender and she knows we don’t allow them at or complex so her and her family (3 kids) were going to have to move.
A lady just said last month she was moving out of the country due to her mom having stage 4 cancer and the family there was demanding for the children to be there for her... For some uncomfortable reason FB “suggested” this resident as a friend, so of course I had to click on it
We had a lady who had to break her lease due to her playing the ouija board and ghosts entering her apartment. She said the ghost would throw her off the bed. Then showed us a video of her sleeping and then throwing the sheets off her bed. She then fell on the floor and was moving. She said was was possessed by the ghost and had to move out immediately. Then post a picture after she left in another state saying road style life no more apartment rent
I had a resident my assistant manager warned me about as she was approaching the office. When she came in, she told me she couldn't pay rent because her grandmother had passed from cancer (apparently, the 3rd time in a year), so she couldn't pay her rent for a couple of weeks. I said "Oh no....What kind of cancer?"
She stammered for a moment and then said "Um. Um. PROSTATE." BAAAAHHHH HAAAAHAAAAAA!!!!! Oh, geez...
