To be a successful, you have to take initiative. If you see trash, pick it up! If you notice the toilets are getting a ring, clean them, if you think the front patio needs to be swept, welp grab the blower bc it’s more effective(and way more fun). Don’t ever be too good to get a little dirty. Show your team you are a part of it... and watch them want to work harder for you! Happy Saturday y’all!
I totally agree... we just did this yesterday when a vendor messed up the schedule of everything and I went it early to clean a vacant apartment. Due to this my maintenance man showed up early to help me. We got it done and had the best reward of the new resident saying that it was the cleanest apartment he had ever moved into.
Leasing agent out on a tour? Sorry folks I'm sure they will be back soon, but in the meantime, can I get you a cup of coffee? Maybe show you around some of our gorgeous amenities? Our pricing may change daily, but our manners and customer service sure is heck doesn't. Encourage you maintenance staff to get in on the cross training, I love interacting with prospective residents
I always had a “day with maintenance” for my leasing teams. Would have them come to work in jeans, maintenance polo shirt, and tennis shoes and follow maintenance with work orders and grounds so they really understood what maintenance did all day. It was always a success and they appreciated more what maintenance did. They would be able to easily explain certain maintenance requests to residents because they knew by experience. Team Work!
