We have schlage key fog locks at our one property. It's high tech and the residents feel special having them. But I don't recommend them because as the systems get older (like with most electronics) they stop making it and parts/key fob replacements arr hard to find and become super expensive.

. Great system for common area entry and also works with Smart home providers like Vivint Smart Home for an all in one experience. Instead of fobs residents just use their phones.
We used Kaba Saflok for one building and Latch for another. Kaba is much more difficult to audit and requires more leg work on a management side of things, but Latch also has its issues. Latch is costly, but is a great system with easy day to day management and the residents love it
I have heard that any of the smart locks rust out and break in high humidity ????????. I wonder if anyone who has used them in the South has success stories?
