Good if you can stay within their workflow and reporting. Not so good if you can't. Payments work well. App workflow leaves a little to be desired. IMO
My teams love It! It evolves all the time which can be frustrating because work flows change. I don’t use it daily and probably couldn’t run a report if I tried but the Team loves it and our director spent months implementing it. Set up can be frustrating and time consuming but be patient... it’s worth it. I’m an old school Onesite and I’m just old
Estrella Santi is your biggest issue the two systems talking to each other? If Entrata was a single stack would it’s features alone still be a negative to you?
Love all of the property/owner/management co. specific platforms and reporting tools, but our conversion to Entrata has been a nightmare, as far as making sure all the data they entered is correct - because it’s not. That’s been a challenge!
I personally love entrata. It’s user friendly. The customer service does help a lot. They do have a few glitches sometimes when they do updates but honestly pretty cool all the features they have.
We are converting right now!! So far I love it!! It’s going to remove so many things we did as extra processes just so we could keep track of things that our Yardi wouldn’t do for us.

It's been a horrible transition for my property and my team. Endless phone calls to support on a daily basis. Reporting, account codes, and basic day-to-day processes change every day, for no reason, without notice. The constant frustration and waste of time has left my entire team on edge more times than I can count. It's so embarrassing when residents can't make a simple rent payment or prospects spend hours trying to complete an application on our website. Companies that have successfully migrated over to Entrata keep telling us that it will get better but it's been almost a year and it is no better than the first few weeks of our original migration. Feeling so frustrated but hoping for the best.
We love Entrata. I’ve worked on every platform and it’s by far my favorite. It is the most user friendly and modern platform that’s out there. The main thing is making sure you receive the proper training initially so it won’t be such a hard transition. Ensuring you have an in house support team that understands the system and how it’s designed to operate is essential since migrations can be hard to tackle alone. I’m sad to hear the bad stories of Entrata, we have the best account rep(now VP) that there is and we can always reach out to our CSM when we need her and she’s so fast to reply. I hope you have a similar experience. Good luck to you!
Unfortunately, we are still a growing company and do not have a huge portfolio. Due to the size of our portfolio, we did not qualify for an acount rep or a CSM and we have been left on our own to navigate through all of the very same issues that arise for larger companies during migration. I'm still hoping for a more positive outcome; specially after seeing so many positive comments from others. Everyones feedback on this topic has been helpful and has me hopeful for a permanent resolution.
That is super frustrating! There is nothing worse than just trying to do your job and having a new software complicate it. I manage system onboardings and migrations for acquisitions at my PMC so I can relate to the woes of migration data not matching up and trying to rectify accounting probs that happen. I find their help tool useful for most things but if you ever have a question this group is great about answering how-to questions. Feel free to reach out!
Entrata is the most user friendly advance property management software I’ve ever used. I can’t say enough good things about it. The best part of Entrata is that it integrates with damn near everything!
Went live February 1st. It was rough at first. We had some issues with things that were set up on the back end by corporate such as lease signing stuff. Still working out some of those issues but have been able to work around them. The tech support is really good. There are a few ways to get support but I like to call instead of chat or reporting within Entrata by email. I do like it more than anything else I've worked on. There can be issues but for the most part awesome software. Take the on line training they offer. We trained for 2 weeks from our office then 3 days with a representative from Entrata at our corporate office . Definatley need this before you go live!
I have been on Entrata for 2 years. We transitioned from onesite. I never want to work for a company that uses onesite again. Entrata is much more user and resident friendly with lots of different settings to customize.
Entrata is a 2021 fully loaded Mercedes, one site is a 1995 Honda Accord. The best part of Entrata is it plays well with others in regards to integrations and the overall user rxoeeeince for both residents as well as the site teams is just very well thought out
I used to be annoyed and disliked entrata.
But then I switched companies and we use yardi… I would switch back to entrata in a heartbeat. It has everything, is more user friendly, and efficient. So make the switch!
Entrata is the “not ready for prime time” player. Still a lot under development. But easy to use. One site has it all, but the interface is older and doesn’t present as nicely. If your looking for business intelligence, yield maximization, investor management, and many other higher level uses, one site is the choice. If your doing basic management, ie fill the units, collect the rents, keep it maintained, entrata is fine.
Entrata is all in the settings. If the setup team doesn't get it, it's a nightmare. If they do, then there is nothing comparable. I will never again work for a company that uses Yardi. Now that's the absolute worst on the market. Not the "industry leader" they'd have you believe. Just because a lot of companies use it doesn't make it good. What takes 25 steps in Yardi can be done in 2-3 steps in Entrata.
I work in Marketing at the corporate level and have worked with both the Entrata platform (currently) and the Yardi/RENTCafe platform. For my part of the business (what I can speak to), I much prefer Yardi. Their marketing related capabilities are greater and the back end is more intuitive. I have also found support to be slow and lacking with Entrata.
