I think you’re legally only allowed to charge what the bank charges..... at least in Oregon. Usually by the time we’re told there’s an nsf, rent is late, so they have the late fee too.

NC limit on NSF fee is $25 and it’s stated on the lease.

Thank you all for the feedback. It helped us realize that our $100 nsf fee was a little high compared to what most properties charge, so we lowered it to $50!
