Highly recommend the class, not online. Online you have no support. No instructor, no clarifications, no group discussions No application to real life scenarios with open discussion.
I see. So for someone like me who has taken more classes online than I can remember, who doesn’t really need any of those things to succeed, it should be fine?
Chad Christian I’ve never failed anything though so that’s not something I’m worried about. I do wonder how the online modules are designed. Have you taken the course online yourself?
I can't speak for CAPS (but future plans), but as far as when I got my CAM via the in person class it was much easier I felt, and I had the opportunity for some super valuable networking!
Class!! Class!!! No comparison! The people you will meet and the connections as well as real life stories and input makes it education for in person training.
Classroom education all the way. I love that NAAEI offers the online option, but for a lot of people to get the most out of what the course has to offer, then the classroom is the way to go. As with most designation classes, the conversations in that classroom are where some of the best learning takes place.
I have several designations, I got my ARM online, my CPM and CAPS in class. The ARM was easy online as I'd been in the industry for 7 years or so before I got it. I wouldn't recommend the CPM or CAPS online, the information that you're taught there is significantly more difficult to retain/learn imo. It's definitely best to do those two in person, unless you've been a RPM for years already, you'll definitely learn more there and meet some great people.
Thank you all, It sounds like most people have done the class and not online. I was hoping for more onsite on the online version. I agree, classroom would be my preferred choice, I just don’t think it is an option for me at this time i and was hoping for some onsite for anyone that took it online.

Lisa Poindexter-Archuleta I’m planning to do online too. They’re all day courses for 4 -5 days so with work, not sure if it’s doable. I don’t see anything available until Fall from AATC and no in-person for NAA.
I’m pretty used to online courses and love the convenience of it. But would like to do in-person if possible. If not, online it is! I believe it’s at your own pace online too.
We are in the same boat! We have the class available in April, but I don’t think I can miss work that week. I am doing this on my own so it isn’t as easy to take the class. I did my ARM online and am hoping I am just as successful with the CAPs, hopefully we get some good take aways or advice from some that did
