With RentPath possibly going away, we have fewer choices once again. Has anyone tried anything new or low cost? I looked at a new site called Dwellsy recently, anyone familiar with it?
PS: This is my email with PERQ. Guys, it works. We've been on-board for a month and are already converting above that 5% Greg mentioned. At the very least, schedule a demo. It may seem like a lot of buzzwords and jargon to some of you but once the leads start rolling in, it's worth it's weight in gold. Also... My sales rep used to be my APG sales rep many moons ago.
We recently added the RentPath websites to the marketing efforts of a B grade community in North New Jersey and have had some great activity from Apartment Guide and Rent.com. We can't predict the long term impact go this merging of the two industry giants but RentPath seems to be committed to remaining a player for now. Just one observation from one small market.
We have great success for them as well. We were told it could take over a year before the merge happens. I am hopeful my traffic continues with them but we will see as well.
Great question, Mike! Full disclosure, Dwellsy is a consulting client of mine; and as a long-time ILS gal, I am super impressed with what they are doing to create both a better renter experience and a no-cost lead by eliminating the pay-to-play model. All listings are free, REALLY, which means more owners/managers are able to list, and renters get a more relevant return because there is no such thing as paying for better position. They are growing fast with 8 million units on the site. For Entrata and Yardi users, it's as simple as enabling syndication in your software.
PERQ is also a client, and their product creates much better conversion for your property websites, definitely worth checking out. They have some pretty compelling data on making your website much more effective!
Apartmnts.com has continued to be a major player and has kept our occupancy at 97-100% for the last 6 years. Thy are also in collaboration with For Rent and Apartment Finder, updating and importing the availability info to those sights as well. I am extremely pleased.
