I've never used Lead-to-Lease, but I'd do anything to recommend Knock! It makes a game out of following up. If you are a completionist, it will bring you so much joy! There are little things I'd tweak, but it really is great as is!!!
I used L2L for about 9 years. Loved it for a long time, but compared to Knock, which I've now been using for 5 months, Knock is a better product. It has dynamic tracking. L2L does not. Knock lets you make calls directly from the CRM. L2L does not. Knock (now) has a great dashboard tool. L2L does not. Knock has an appointment scheduling widget and the Knock bot. L2L does not. The only thing I liked better about L2L is the ability to totally customize the look and feel of the quote with pictures and HTML code. On another note, L2L is being replaced with ILM, which is owned by RealPage.

Just as an FYI, Real Page’s Lead2Lease is being replaced (based on your PMS) with ILM Lead Manager and Leasing Analytics for future clients. It can go head to head with Knock on all levels.
I started with L2L and loved it. But my experience with Knock made me feel like they were actually earning their strong reputation while L2L was sitting on its laurels. L2L may have invented the game but Knock has kept it current and responsive. Would recommend Knock hands down.
There’s no comparing Knock to Lead-2-Lease. L2L is a nearly 20 year old platform that has been dormant for the last 7. The team at Knock has done a really good job and is one of 3 modern CRM platforms. You should investigate all of them as each has a different thesis.
Lisa I'd be happy to have a chat with you about Knock. We've been rolling it out on a few properties every few months since November. We have had to dedicate Katy's time nearly exclusively to Knock.
She works with them on small issues that are endless. Knock's team is incredible and so very responsive. Sometime's it's a Knock issue, sometime's it's a Onesite issue, sometimes it's a user error, sometimes it's training. Some of our staff have been resistant - they hate when their score falls and if they let it get away from them, it's absolutely daunting to get caught up, so Katy swoops in and helps/trains. Right now before we add any more properties, we are reviewing the Onesite Leasing Activity Detail against the Knock leasing reports and for the love of all things holy, there is so much not matching. Again, some of it is Knock, some of it is Onesite, some of it is user error, some of it is training. Until we are comfortable with the data, we are not going to switch reporting. Knock has some new reporting in the works which may help us. I'm sure anyone using Knock with 100% love has completely given up their other leasing reporting software and aren't making their lives miserable like we are. But there is just so much data that isn't matching up. I can forward you some of our weekly emails so you can get an idea of all this, and again, happy to hop on a call with you.
Christi Wedel I KNEW we weren't the only crazy ones!!!! It's definitely not a plug and play situation - there is A LOT of work going on behind the scenes!!! ♥
Same! Reports in Knock and OneSite show different metrics so it's difficult to match them up. We have small issues, but the Knock support team is very helpful and VERY responsive. The UI is very user friendly and fun. The gamification theme is helpful if you have a competitive group. The analytics dashboards are simple and useful. The Knock quotes are a bit disappointing so we ended up turning this feature off. Since we are a data tracking company, we also would like for Knock to beef up the guest card fields. It's very limited. Overall, I prefer Knock, but there are some bugs to work out. I highly recommend implementing on a handful of sites, training up experts and letting them help others. The teams will do things differently with Knock than other CRMs (which is good) but does take a mindset change to get there.
Lisa Trosien I forwarded about 5 emails that will give you the sense of the level of involvement my training director has had with this product. We started with our first roll out of properties in November, next group January, and another group in the spring. We are holding off any more pending working through the reporting function issues and seeing what they are rolling up for their revamped leasing report.
