Review response fail lol. Names whited out for privacy. And for the record, I spoke to the leasing agent and it looks like they responded when the review was still good and the reviewer edited their review after the response. But still, a fail as a fail
????♀️????♀️????♀️At least they responded I guess lmao ???????????? I know personally I would have loved to respond to reviews like that but... I needed my job lol
We had one where the reviewer originally left a glowing positive 5-star review. So we left a nice thank you reply. Then after not getting ???? 100% of his deposit back (for reasons), he went back and changed the review to a very negative one. Making our response seem out of place.
Could be a similar situation here. J/s.
Sure if your ignore the most likely and obvious timeline that a good review was left, the response was given then the review was changed after the fact. I mean either that or the much less likely scenario that you seem to imagine.
Well Miles I highly doubt that he changed it after the fact . With google reviews if you change a review the date remains and the new date appears when you amended the comment. Either way it was a poor response, what professional company would put that if they could they would post it on a billboard in Vegas. To me it’s obvious they dont care and were being flippant about their response
Alicia Allen So it looks like the review started out as a good review and then they went back and changed it so the initial response was in response to the good review. I just talked to the leasing agent at that property LOL. This was Yelp
Amy Sexton Horsley So it looks like the review started out as a good review and then they went back and changed it so the initial response was in response to the good review.
I have also had a 5 star review after someone moved in... Responded very positive and they changed their review after they had to pay to buy out of their lease.... It made my response seem like a jackass response as well... However it doesn't alert when someone changes something. I'm with the leasing agent on this one. Just go edit the response

This is an all-around failure. No matter the situation it's always best to remember that reviews and responses are public-facing and can either help your cause or hurt it.
My company SOCi's Social Command Center is designed specifically to avoid situations like this through management approval workflows so a negative review would be seen by multiple levels of management before any gets to respond to it. We even help clients with formulating responses if they need assistance.
Either way, sounds like both the reviewer and the responder could use a hug or at least a cookie to brighten their day.
