Doesn’t surprise me. We are about to move from a place that used tape to cover a crack in the bathroom wall then painted over it instead of fixing the crack.
He had the right idea because in the multifamily industry caulk is the fix all but at least he could have used the almond color to match the wall or clear silicone to make it less noticeable.
If this is any indication of this person's standards for repair, I would hate to see how they handle a leak, hvac, or electrical issue. Or mold removal.
I'm so confused, because while white should not be used there, it is applied better than 95% of folks can apply it. Generally I'm happy if I ask someone to caulk around the sink and we don't end up with any on the light fixture.
