A maintenance tech was trashing out a vacant apartment and guess who comes slithering out of the sink?!
A 2-3ft pet python that they LEFT behind.
Wrong on so many levels.
Luckily the maintenance manager Juan Desantiago saved the day and got it back into its tank and a very kind resident took him off our hands. He has a new home. Now I just have to pay for Antonio’s much needed therapy. ????????????

What’s the craziest thing you’ve found left behind?!

So does anyone call animal control or make a complaint of animal abuse/neglect? Honestly I was more worried about finding him a place to go before the weekend and we have no idea when he had any food or water. I absolutely can not feed an animal to another animal so I was really panicking about what to do.
I think a lot of times we find animals and just do our best to quickly rehome them but I want some kind of action against a person that would abandon a pet like this.

A dog in a cage. They dead bolted the door and climbed down balcony. She was so pitiful and so upset. 3 of us unlocked the cage and sat on the floor and talked calmly for about an hour and she finally crawled out and onto my lap. What a sweet girl she was.

Tenant once left us a bomb. Bottle of gasoline with batteries in it. Shut down the street , bomb squad , press - the whole circus. That was a day

What a horrible experience for the maintenance tech! Poor snake that was forgotten on purpose. However, what a dangerous pet to have in an apartment complex

Their Mother naked in a chair they left and a bottle of water and it was summertime very hot. The police called family they refused to get her so the police took her. The Assist Manager gave the clothes off her back. Saddest ever

We found a pile of dead ferrets in a skipped unit once. While I am not a fan of ferrets, this was so sad.

I thought you were going to say he found a diamond wedding ring and returned it to the owner. A snake, didn’t see that coming.
