I was one sitting in my office facing the door so I could see into the hallway and a huge turtle walked by. A resident just let it out into the hallway. I put a picture of it on Facebook and someone from a turtle sanctuary came and picked it up.
Awww ???? he looks so reassured being in your arms but Look at his eyes... he gazed off looking as if he was thinking why did they abandon him like that.. poor baby
As someone who is in the Business and is also a rescuer... I suggest taking him and getting him scanned for a microchip. Any vet can do that but I’ve seen all kind of things happen. We don’t know his story... lots of possibilities. He could have been stolen or maybe they just couldn’t take care of him ????????♀️ but I always, always get them scanned for a microchip. In Alabama, we are suppose to put them on a 7-10 day hold when they’re abandoned/strays. Owners could come back during that time frame and want him back (highly unlikely but never know).
Anyways, thank you for helping him. I’ve found many and had to find homes for them.
That is a beautiful puppy! I don't know your laws unless you're in Texas but it is a felony. You could give their names to the police. That is a pure breed.
I absolutely hate that I've rescued 6 in the 41/2. Years I've at this property. I was able to rehome 2 myself and if course kept 2 and the humane society found forever homes for the 2. I do call and report the people to animal control they go on the no adoption list.
What a cutie and glad that you could keep him! That's how we ended up with our TWO, a month ago. Someone just left them on our property? They are officially named Bonnie (9 months) and Clyde (2 yrs.) , have seen the Vet for their shots and fattening them up. So sweet. Keep sharing the love, everyone!
Thank you for having a heart and caring about him. My hope is that you will work hard on finding a true forever loving home for this innocent and beautiful baby. This seems to be a lab., one of the most loyal and family oriented dogs. Please help him!!!
Many thanks and blessings to you for helping the helpless!!
It happens all the time and as a vendor, I actually adopted a puppy as I was visiting one of my customers. This is one of the big benefits of PetScreening, ALL animals/pets are documented when leasing. It has a database of photos that are tied to each resident. You could have looked up the photo and found who did that. You can also do an electronic pet audit to find unauthorized pets.
Call the police and animal rescue. File animal abuse charges. These people and others like them need to be treated the same as they treat their animals. Maybe handcuffs and a fine will spread the word. Keep the dog, you have friend for life.
We had that happen only it was an older blind dog and they left it in the dog park. I called the police, they did a report, we do Poo Prints so we received concrete evidence it was that residents dog. The resident said the dog had died so I had that in writing, so the police pressed charges of Animal Cruelty and the resident was arrested.
