We had a prospect choose not to move in ON her move in day bc of a couple very, VERY minor things. She had already paid all her funds, so we had to issue a refund - that sadly was going to take about 30 days to get back to her. Before the check could get to her she filed a dispute to get those funds back. When that was brought to my attention I had a stop put on that check. She calls today to ask why a stop was put on. When I explained, she called me nasty word and hung up. I emailed our regional admin and he proceeded to call her back. She started in on him and he 110% was on my side!!!
I ask bc I hear so many sad stories about coworkers not sticking together that makes me sad. So let’s start a positive thread of bragging on our teams!!!
I'm a vendor, but I know a few absolutely amazing regionals in Equity, Greystar, Legacy, Essex to name a few companies that will break thier back to support thier onsite staff with the VIP residents of the industry. I tend to lean towards these leaders because if they support thier staff to the bitter end, odds are they also are fair and loyal to thier all star vendors.

I am very lucky that I have one! I have been in this industry for 27 years and he is the best regional that I ever had. He respects and trust me. He always emails me when he get a call from one of my residents call him. He is always protecting me I feel very blessed to finally have a regional like him.
The reason your property is successful is not only because of the front office hussle and the grit of management team but also because of regional and owners. It takes great players. A great regional will make you or break you, they play an essential role like a prime leasing agent and a prime property manager etc - I have had both ones looking to grow you and those that tear you down- in my 18+ years. Listen to your players. ❤️ grateful for my company!
Better than residents or prospects - my regional and I sat down to let go an AWFUL leasing agent - stealing, lived onsite and had to be sent to legal, clocked in and out from her apartment on weekends, etc. This girl tried to tell my regional that not only do I leave early everyday but when I am in the office I am always DRUNK!. LOL. My regional calmy told her that not only was my behavior none of her business and that I report to the regional and not leasing, but escorted the leasing out of the office. She then turned to me and laughed about how I must be the most effective drunk in the world. HA!
My RM has my back and my team. We trust each other and I know I have his support. As well as my home office. One of our core values is FAMILY and that’s says a lot about our company.
As a Regional this was an absolute blessing to hear!!! I know I support my team to the best of my ability and always have their back. Nice to know there are other great leaders out there!!!
My regional has had my back in every case so far. We have similar thought processes in situations from what I can tell - every situation I’ve presented him, he’s offered up how he would handle and it’s exactly how I did actually handle it... and this is probably the first time I’ve ever had this in 5 years as a PM. It’s definitely appreciated. I should add I’ve had two other great regionals... I just didn’t have many issues with residents until this specific clientele I currently have.
My new regional and company that I work for are amazing! My old regional was a backstabbing leprechaun!! ???? Had to quit after working at my property for 17 years.
I am truly blessed with my Regional supervisors thru out the last 6 years. They always listen to me first, then call the resident and finally return to me with advice. They are the best
That is definitely a positive of my current regional. But I also give her something to work with...you *usually* know when someone is going to call. So I give her a courtesy heads up and details on the situation so she isn’t blindsided by their phone call. That goes a long way in them backing you up when they know the whole story.
I do at the moment! Best RM ever! I feel much stronger and better within myself and as a manager with her as my RM and because of that I'd move mountains for her! ???? She's not a power tripper, she's a real person...a down to earth person and very understanding. She is kind but not weak and I respect that.. She trusts me and believes in me. Makes ALL the damn difference in the world I tell ya! (As you can probably tell, I've had some frikken nightmare RMs in the past. Thankfully not many lol. But sure makes you appreciate the good ones!!)
We have a pretty amazing rvp and vp that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Sometimes you just need to clock out, express your frustrations, laugh and keep it moving. They’re more like unpaid therapists by force ????I’ll always follow them though bc they have our best interest at heart. Not something you find all the time but we’ve been blessed w great leaders ❤️And we have a great team.
Not only is my Regional amazing but my Property Manager and Coworkers. I have been blessed to work for such a great company that we regard each other as family after working together for over a decade.
Hello all-
I am a regional and I appreciate the gratitude shown to those that stand out and support their teams. In order to better appreciate each other and our roles in the success of our communities, we started a gratitude email with all team members to participate in and to assist in bringing each property closer with sharing each other accomplishments or gratitude towards each other for assisting. This is a highlight to look forward to when the email comes across. I look forward to a full year of this email thread to review and appreciate all we accomplished together.
