Resident note to the office: “Do you know ppl with ammo? I don’t. I need Guns.”

Just found this in my office via the drop-slot

I feel like you should report that to the police.

We have a resident that leaves us crazy notes too but nothing like this. He writes about it being the end of the world and warns us to get our money out of the bank before everything collapses. He cites scriptures to back up his beliefs and all.????We can't tell if he's delusional or maybe schizophrenic. He goes into hiding in his apartment for days awaiting the worst and then comes out "to gather basic needs" and goes back into hiding. It used to make us uneasy but not anymore.

This is disturbing and all but..... wow..... they really do come to us for everything ????‍♀️

I would take that as a threat! Get police involved ????

Maybe he’s trying to warn you or to protect you by saying you should have ammo or guns to protect yourself. Lots of people have had their cheese slip off their crackers! ????

Oh yes we receive some crazy ones as well, one guy wrote on 50 pages of paper the same words “fuck you” even used the “n” word. All over a leak under his sink ????

I don't think this note is threatening at all. Jeez! People are just nutty and feeding into all the election conspiracies circulating! I actually had a vendor in my office not long ago still convinced as can be that the election will be overturned by the supreme court!???????? sounds like this person really just wants to know where he can get ammo and a gun to prepare for whatever he thinks is going to go down. Honestly, so do I!!????????????????

Doesn’t sound like they’re threatening you. Sounds like they’re paranoid and asking for help finding protection.

Definitely turn that in to the police. You don't want to hear about this person shooting up a place later when you saw this very clear warning sign and ignored it.

Document, document, document. If DNR is not an option in your state at this time I’m sorry. This is a direct threat.

Get rid of your dropbox all together. It did us a world of good.

I think that would be an overreaction. My dropbox is awesome and highly convenient.

Mine over the years have been tampered with on 2 occasions with rent being stolen. It was necessary for us at the time. Then with the Coronavirus we went to paper-free payments. All online and contact free. It’s took some adjustment time but it’s been the best thing ever.

I would respond w a note...”I’ve got 50 boxes of ammo and a bunker hidden beneath your apartment. Meet me on February 19th in the bunker and we will discuss saving the world”

He is talking about the election and the fact that its going to get ugly, regardless of the final outcome. Although what a stupid question to ask the property manager!

Not surprising if you see what is being run on Newsmax, OANN, Fox News and Breitbart these days. A lot of extremists think there's a real civil war coming because of the craziness around the election and other issues we've been dealing with as a country lately.

If you know who this person is I'd just make sure they are okay and talk with them to see if they are losing it or if this is just some over the top reaction to the Nashville bombing and other things on the internet. If you get the sense that the person is stockpiling weapons or could do self harm then I'd report it to the police and mental health services in your area and let them manage it.

There is a legitimate ammunition shortage right now because of panic buyers and there are always a lot of new gun purchases around elections. It's completely normal and there are always fringe people who freak out about it, it'll pass. Just make sure this person is okay, don't let them hurt themselves or others or yourself, be cautious. Talk to them in open space, don't go inside their residence and don't be alone with them.
