My company has recently launched a new websute ( www.roscoeprop.com )and we really want to begin Search Engine Optimization. After getting a few quotes form SEO companies, we were fairly shocked at the rates they charge for "link building"....thousands and thousands per month.

We then thought about hiring a tech/internet savvy UT student, but haven't gotten a lot of response from our ad.

I was wondering if any of y'all had done this in-house? Is this something that I could easily learn and do effectively in a fairly short period of time? If so, where would I get the best info.

I am the Marketing Director and Leasing Agent for Roscoe Properties, so my only real concern is time. I am not certain I have the time needed to devote to this very important project

Thanks for any info and insight you can give me!

It is not that difficult to get the first 80% done (and this is an 80/20 rule thing). I'd be happy to spend a 1/2 hour on the phone with you. I run an Internet Listing Service that is well known on the east coast (4 Walls). At the very least, it will give you a reality check. Email me [email protected]
