Times are tough! The company I work for cancelled the summer picnic and the winter Christmas party.

In our local church they give out mineral water bottles wherein we could fill it up with coins. These bottles are given 2 months before the holiday season so we do have a couple of months to fill it up. The money is donated to poor families here in our country for their Christmas dinner or what we call "noche buena".

We have set up donation boxes at our offices that benifit the Capital Area Food Bank....with the economy, we wanted to give our staff and our residents an opportunity to give without breaking the bank, and a can of food or bag of rice thrown in the box isn't too painful
