I’m currently managing a downtown A-Class property and I’m looking for move in gift ideas! Right now we just have some branded coffee cups and coasters but I was really looking to elevate their move in experience by providing them with move in gifts that go along with the “luxury move in experience”. I don’t have a set price point that I’d like to keep each gift at, just looking for ideas! Please let me know of the best move in gifts you’ve either seen other properties use or have done at your own properties that just really impressed you and looked like the property went the extra mile! Thank you in advance!

You can never go wrong with a branded plush blanket or throw. They’ll always be used.

We do a small bag of premium coffee, meyers cleaning spray, a property branded tote bag, a dry cleaning bag for our on site pick up service, an ice tray because we don't have an ice maker, and glass top stove cleaner, toilet paper along with a welcome card and some water.

Look at Tiffany's business account options. I've done Tiffany gifts for Class A lease ups in the past and they were all received. That blue bag and blue box make an impact.

Interesting! Did you do the same gift for men, too?

Yes, we did. We found something that would work for everyone. One time I think it was a wine carafe. Another it was a set of glassware of some sort. The time we did a bowl, whether the residents were men or women they like them.

I'd get a local coffee roaster involved to see if they will give you discounts on fresh beans to add to your gift. Maybe throw in two champagne glasses and a nice bottle of bubbly as well! Fresh flower bouquets are always appreciated as well!

Everyone has different taste. I like coffee beans and high end cleaners. I feel most of the other stuff is considered unnecessary and people toss it.

Maybe a wine club membership at a local winery and include a bottle of wine with custom labels? It’s pricey but for a luxury building it might be fitting. Downtown where? What’s the city known for?

I used to put together the makings for a spaghetti dinner in a fun colander (with a bottle and 4 pack of glass, glasses with our logo, along with a few colorful utensils in a cloth laundry basket wrapped in a plush throw with our logo. I rarely didn't get a compliment on "this thoughtful" gift. Renewals got a mini, thank you for renewing as well.

We are a brand new midrise, and we give them options. We have a very soft blanket, coffee mugs, mini charcuterie boards, planters with everything you need and yoga mats. They are all branded with the community name.
