Have a car detailer come to the office to detail their vehicle (most drove wife car that day. Lol) $100 toward shoe purchase, $100 shopping spree at Lowes or HD. Ordered door dash and had delivered to home in evening for whole family.

Day 1 We did thank you cards and told them how much we all appreciated all they do. Day 2 was breakfast, day 3 we got them afternoon cool down drinks and office staff picked up grounds while that sat in office drinking coffee, day 4 was lunch. Day 5 we got them coolers and filled them with their favorites, we also had them fill out the Friday before what their favorite things are. They all got to leave half day during that week with pay too.

Had a property where the entire team were males and all were married. After several tough months, lots of overtime and on-call hours. I bought spa gift cards for all of the wives and gift cards for lunch too. “Thanks for putting up with the late night calls, grumpy guys coming home at the end of every day and I’m sorry for keeping your husband away from home so much over the past months…” It was wildly appreciated…

CJ Harbin I’ve always wondered if this was truly appreciated or taken offensive as just another work item. Thanks for the feedback!

A raise. If you appreciate your staff you pay them accordingly. Gift cards don’t help their bills or time off for burnout.

Cash or days off. That’s what every maintenance guy wants. No pizza, no tools, no coffee mugs…..etc

I’ve encouraged properties and sister parapet ties to create softball teams or bowling teams, which I paid the bulk of the expense.
