1) Don't discard a resume that looks like a candidate has job hopped from one company to another IF the position held is relatively the same. You may find during the phone screen that they were working for the same property the whole time but that the management company had changed-so they listed the different companies. Best to just ask.
2) If they have experience using different applications then your company does and are generally tech-savvy then assume they can learn your apps very quickly. Most are developed very intuitively these days anyway.
3) If they show a gap in employment maybe they were spending unemployed time doing something that earned them some great transferable skills...such as staying at home to take care of little ones (time management, communication skills, dare I say patience...)
