I've hit a roadblock in developing a policy/procedure for employee discounts when it comes to apartments. I have the addendum already but I just need to work up how the program works, how to qualify, etc. Does anyone have anything that they would be willing to share?
I've done it in the past. I don't recommend. I have now fired 2 of the 3 employees that lived on my properties. One moved and left a house that smelled like dog pee, after badmouthing me to all the other residents. The other one will be evicted in a week.
If you are going to do it, do a lease at market rent. Discount 30% with a separate agreement. Make them pay the full deposit like normal.
